Lawn Care

It all started with a $600 Buck Truck.

My boy bought a new truck and had an old 1997 Dodge Dakota that he didn't need anymore, so he let me get if for the low price of $600. I just wanted an old truck to haul stuff if I needed to. Then I started thinking about ways to make money with it. I thought, I really like to cut grass ... maybe I'll start doing that on the side.

I decided to buy a simple riding lawnmower, and some basic equipment ... I didn't even have a Zero Turn until my third year. That's what made me "The Slower Mower," as I couldn't initially maintain pace with all the faster fellows. I chose The Turtle as my business card mascot. My impeccable work-ethic empowered me to continue growing the business, which compelled me to invest in better equipment. This allowed me to slowly creep past all those napping rabbits.

Slow and Steady wins The Race.

I've always admired Artists, aka people that can take an image in their mind and create something beautiful on paper or canvas. I wasn't blessed with that gift. My attempts to draw have always been terrible. However, I found that taking a raggedy-looking lawn and transforming it into something beautiful is MY form of Art. In an hour or less, I can paint a breathtaking picture with my weedeater, that not only brings me satisfaction, but also gives an even greater sense of appreciation to the homeowner. After a long day's work, they can come home and enjoy a sense of pride, relishing in the fact that their lawn looks immaculate.
